Alex is a versatile video editor with a drive for finding the story in his projects, no matter what they are. For nearly a decade, he’s utilized his talents to cut on-air and social media videos for multiple brands, including Nickelodeon, ADP, and the Liberty Science Center. While he loves working off of scripts and storyboards, he’s been called a magician for finessing broader ideas into a “a gallery wall” of art, using montages, interviews and authentic emotions to make even a five second spot something to stick with viewers.
As an advisory board member of the Blue Collar Post Collective, he values finding spaces for creatives to learn from and talk to each other. As its former New York Vice President, he spearheaded dozens of educational events around the city and online, including picture and sound editor Q&A’s, VFX demonstrations, and semi-regular free meet-ups for BCPC members. He also helped transition the New York meet-ups to a digital format more recently, with online chat rooms and a virtual game night.
When away from the post-production world, Alex is usually channeling his talents into photography and interior design. His hobbies include travel, rock climbing, and caring for his plants (and pet pigeon).
